Explanations
Everyday, the ordinary man thinks of himself, his rights, his properties, his likes and dislikes. Such an ordinary man is bound up in selfishness. He is completely separated from God and the Angels, no matter how good, righteous or religious he pretends to be.
The saints are wiser, because they know that God pervades the universe, just as the sunlight fills everywhere.
Spiritual emotion is intense and complete, when we lose awareness of ourselves and only remember God. At that stage in life, it is no longer ourselves working, doing or saying something, because God now and then is living in us and working through us. Jesus demonstrated a very good example:
8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us."
9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. John 14:8-11
At this level of spiritual development and attainment, we come to realize that we are one with God. That is why Jesus often said, “The father and I are one”. Then, God not only bestows His grace upon us, we also hear, see, touch and experience Him in our daily lives as one with us and as our glorious Father.
God has not called you as a beggar into His kingdom.
He has called you as His son,
for you to become a prince of perfection.
